About Cheryl Cooper

Cheryl headshotCheryl joined the Blue Ridge Area Food Bank in November, 2013, as the Partner Services Coordinator for the Thomas Jefferson Branch. She assumed the position of Director of Agency Relations & Programs June 1, 2013. In her role, she works with the Partner Services Coordinators in the four branches to build capacity and relationships with our partner agencies and ensure that there are a sufficient number of agency partners in our service area to meet the need.

Cheryl’s career includes 25 years as a physical therapist, working in acute and long-term care. Prior to coming to the Food Bank, she worked with JABA, the Area Agency on Aging in the Charlottesville area, for 13 years in many capacities. In her final position at JABA, Cheryl was the Chief Operating Officer and had oversight of all of JABA’s direct client service areas.

Cheryl holds a BS in Physical Therapy from the Medical College of Virginia and a Master of Health Care Administration from the College of Notre Dame in Baltimore, MD.
