Mobile Food Pantries Bring Food to High-Need Areas

Our Mobile Pantry Program brings healthy, nutritious food directly to families and individuals facing hunger in areas of high need throughout eastern Wisconsin. The program expands our capacity to distribute food by removing barriers that prevent access to underserved areas, and allows for fast and flexible delivery of rescued food and grocery products including meat, produce and baked goods.

We use our refrigerated trucks to transport the food to clients in pre-packed boxes or through a farmer’s market-style distribution where clients choose to take what they need.

We operate about 120 mobile pantries each year, providing approximately 10,000 pounds of food including fresh produce, meat and dairy products to hundreds of families at each mobile pantry.

That’s more than 8,300 meals from each mobile pantry!

We recently took our Mobile Pantry Program to Sheboygan. Thanks to our sponsors, Alliant Energy, we were able to provide nearly 300 families with healthy, nutritious food. We met Sara and Scott that day and they shared their stories with us.

Together we can solve hunger. Here’s how.
