Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin
It’s been nearly two years since I returned to the Badger State to head Wisconsin’s leading hunger-relief organization. I am immensely proud of the way we are changing the conversation around hunger. We’re bringing more people together around the table and diving deep into what it means to solve hunger. Hunger is a public health crisis that is threatening the lives of our neighbors and the health of our communities. We have to get to the root of it. Building on our nearly 35-year history, providing healthy, nutritious food to families and individuals facing hunger remains the foundation of our work. But we are also working together to strengthen collaboration around the four pillars of household stability – food, health, housing and employment. Together with our members, volunteers and community partners are working to develop innovative solutions to address hunger; we are implementing educational programming that places an emphasis on making our communities healthier; and we are advocating on behalf of all those we serve. solutions that place an emphasis on making our communities healthier; and we are advocating on behalf of all those we serve. I’m thrilled that as we launch our new robust website, we are also launching this new blog: Solving Hunger Together. We look forward to introducing you to the collaborative people and organizations involved in this important work and to share stories of our successes. And I invite you to join us. Together we WILL solve hunger.
