Fresh from the Farm or Orchard
Fresh produce is one of the most frequently requested items by our members and moves quickly out of our food banks. Fresh produce is critical to solving hunger in eastern Wisconsin. By working with farmers and growers across our 36 county service area, Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin is providing more fresh, healthy and nutritious food the people of eastern Wisconsin.
There are many benefits to donating your excess or slightly imperfect produce:
- Receipts for potential tax deductions
- Reduction of costs associated with storage, transportation and disposal
- Waste minimization and assistance with sustainability
Becoming a Donor:
Farmers and growers who would like to donate excess food should contact Ross Younger, Food Resources Manager, 414-831-6335 or by email to discuss setting up a partnership.
